Guttering, soffits, and fascias supplied and fitted to protect your roof structure and keep water away from the building.
Even though most modern pitched roofs have a covering that stops water getting in, gutters are still essential — any roof with a slope needs proper drainage, or water runs straight down the walls and around the foundations. We install guttering in steel, aluminium, copper, and vinyl, and can advise on which suits your property: aluminium doesn't rust and comes in a range of colours, copper needs very little maintenance, and vinyl is the most cost-effective option for a straightforward like-for-like replacement.
Soffits sit underneath the outer edge of the roof and protect the rafters from exposure to the weather — without them, the roof structure itself is exposed to damp and rot over time. uPVC soffits are the most common choice: highly resistant to rotting and warping, water-resistant, and available in finishes that blend with the rest of the property, at a lower cost than aluminium or steel alternatives.
Fascias run along where the roof meets the outer wall, and do a similar protective job to soffits while being more visible — they're a big part of a roofline's overall appearance. Traditionally timber, most fascias now use plastic or vinyl, which resist rot and last considerably longer without the ongoing maintenance timber needs.

Sam & Lee were very helpful from the initial consultation, backing this up with a very detailed step by step proposal. The work was carried out on time and very efficiently. Yes. The covering stops water getting into the roof, but it still has to go somewhere. Without guttering, rainwater runs straight down the walls and collects around the foundations, which causes damp and erosion over time.
It depends on budget and appearance. Aluminium does not rust and comes in a range of colours, copper needs very little maintenance and ages attractively, and vinyl is the most cost-effective choice for a like-for-like replacement. Steel is the sturdiest option. We will advise on the trade-offs before you decide.
Soft or flaking timber, visible rot, staining, and sections pulling away from the roofline usually mean replacement. Isolated damage on otherwise sound boards can often be repaired. We assess and tell you which applies rather than defaulting to a full replacement.
A typical house takes one to three days depending on the length of roofline, whether guttering, soffits, and fascias are all being replaced, and access. We confirm the timescale before starting.
Where possible, yes. uPVC soffits and fascias come in a range of finishes designed to blend with the rest of the property, and guttering is available in several colours. If an exact match is not available we will show you the closest options.
